Cotton (CTV7) has has a series of break away gaps but mainly related to the terrible weather in Texas. a five cent pullback from current levels would be a healthy correction to buy in again.

Cotton tore me a new one back in '97 when I was position trading(read "lettin' the trades breathe" ...I was 2 pts from being even and had my stop just below the market for the next day...1500 dollars later my market order was filled on the downside...at least my stops were in...it'll be a cold day before I trade cotton again...uhhh nooo, I don't wear nylon briefs...

Agreed. On to the next market. Attempting to get into Cotton now would prove very dangerous at current levels.
Look at the Wheat!!

Too risky for my blood at these levels. if I miss the boat, I await the next ferry. If you jump off the dock after it you may end up in the cold water.

You gotta love that Mirror Image.
I will look at the cotton over the weekend for a possible entry level.
Willie,
Your posts are right in the spirit of what I expect from my OMNIACS. This is a trading academy where I want all of us to learn and grow technically, fundamentally and as a trading group as a whole.
Keep up the nice work,
Oscar

Coffee is beginning to rattle it's sword a bit but not much action to speak of in the Softs complex lately. They usually get more action during the US winter time anyway.
Stay tuned...

The seasonals for Cotton to start an up trend is around +/-nov. 10, for March/May/ and July Contracts, and it's has been stated that (rumors) the production will not meet demand at our currrent level output....So this is a market that could do very well for everyone.....Watch carefully....
